Data and Dashboards
Discover mobility data and visual evidence for planning, monitoring, and action
Find approved datasets, dashboards, maps, indicators, and data services that support mobility analysis, modelling, planning, service improvement, monitoring, research, and transparent decision-making.
ACCESS provides the context users need to judge whether a data resource is suitable for a particular purpose. Each record should explain ownership, coverage, structure, quality, update frequency, access conditions, licence, limitations, and responsible-use considerations.
Not every dataset should be open or downloadable. Public access depends on ownership, licence, privacy, security, confidentiality, safeguards, and legal requirements. Each record must clearly state what users may access and reuse.

Browse and Filter Data
Search, filters, and sorting should help users find data without requiring specialist knowledge of dataset names or systems.
Approved data resources will appear here once they are published.

- Structure: variables, units, schema, data dictionary, identifiers, and file formats.
- Access: download, API, external platform, request process, or restricted-access instructions.
- Licence and attribution: permitted uses, restrictions, and required credit.

- Examples: related analyses, dashboards, software, cases, methods, or learning activities.
- Accessibility: accessible documentation and alternatives to visual-only explanations.
- Last verified date and responsible record owner.
Dashboard Detail Page
- Purpose and intended users
- Questions or decisions the dashboard supports
- Geographic and time coverage
- Indicators, definitions, units, and calculation methods
- Data sources and update frequency
- Current reporting or refresh date
- Filtering and download options
- Evidence status and known limitations
- Privacy, accessibility, and responsible-use information
- Owner, maintenance status, and support contact
- Related datasets, methods, cases, and programme results
A dashboard should not present figures without definitions, reporting periods, sources, methodology, and update dates. Where targets and results are shown, distinguish target, current result, cumulative result, and progress toward target.
Data Quality and Fitness for Purpose
Availability does not necessarily mean that data are suitable for every use. Records should help users assess fitness for purpose.
Relevance
Does the resource answer the intended policy, planning, operational, or research question?
Coverage
Does it represent the required geography, period, mode, population, users, or system?
Completeness
Are important values, locations, groups, or time periods missing?
Accuracy and Validation
How was the information collected, checked, corrected, or compared?
Timeliness
Is the resource current enough for the intended decision?
Consistency
Are variables, definitions, and methods stable and comparable?
Inclusion
Whose travel, access, safety, work, or mobility needs may be missing or underrepresented?
Ethics and Safeguards
Could use or publication create privacy, security, exclusion, bias, or do-no-harm risks?
Data Access Labels
Available under a stated licence for permitted reuse.
Available through a documented public API or data service.
Available on an approved external publisher or platform.
Access requires an account or acceptance of stated conditions.
Access is considered through an approved request and review process.
Not publicly accessible because of privacy, security, confidentiality, legal, or ownership conditions.
For Data Publishers
ACCESS should provide concise guidance for partners proposing or maintaining data records.
- Use machine-readable formats where appropriate.
- Provide complete metadata, documentation, and a data dictionary.
- Identify the rights holder and select an appropriate licence.
- Document collection, processing, quality checks, validation, and known limitations.
- Complete privacy, ethics, security, and safeguards review before publication.
- Use meaningful file names, stable identifiers, versions, and update dates.
- Explain update responsibilities and how users can report errors.
- Provide accessible summaries and documentation in relevant languages.
- Review records periodically for broken links, outdated metadata, changed terms, or retired services.
Featured Data and Dashboards
Display a rotating selection of approved resources with clear public value. Featured items should be drawn dynamically from the central content system and should not be entered separately on this page.
A country or city dataset
A pilot or programme dashboard
An interactive map or framework tracker
An indicator methodology or metadata resource
Do not feature a dataset, dashboard, map, API, or tracker until its owner, public-access status, source, methodology, update date, licence, privacy review, accessibility, and maintenance arrangements are confirmed.
