Academic and Learning Networks

Connect research, teaching, and professional learning with real mobility challenges

ACCESS works with universities, research organisations, training providers, professional networks, public institutions, industry, and practitioners to strengthen learning and collaboration on digital, low-carbon, and inclusive urban mobility.

Academic and Learning Networks help connect regional expertise with country and city implementation. They support knowledge exchange, joint learning, applied research, curriculum development, training of trainers, and stronger links among academia, governments, civil society, industry, and development partners.

Purpose of this page

This page should present active networks and collaborations relevant to ACCESS learning and application. It should not function as an unrestricted directory of institutions or duplicate the Consortium and Partnerships pages.

Why it matters

Why Academic and Learning Networks Matter

  • Connect academic knowledge with practical policy and implementation needs.
  • Strengthen regional and national capacity through teaching, research, mentoring, and peer learning.
  • Help translate ACCESS knowledge products and tools into curricula, courses, and applied assignments.
  • Create opportunities for institutions and learners to compare experience across countries and disciplines.
  • Support continuity by embedding knowledge and learning within institutions beyond the programme period.
  • Expand participation among students, researchers, practitioners, public authorities, civil society, and industry.

RELIEVE — Latin American Network for Research in Energy and Vehicles

RELIEVE connects universities and partner organisations working at the intersection of energy, vehicles, transport, and the environment. The network promotes joint research, scientific exchange, and capacity development. Its activities include research projects, seminars, international courses, conferences, and initiatives supporting participation and visibility in science and technology.

For ACCESS, RELIEVE can provide a platform for academic collaboration and knowledge exchange on transport digitalisation, sustainable mobility, energy transition, low-carbon solutions, and the development of technical and professional capabilities.

Additional Networks

Additional networks may be added as ACCESS expands its partnerships and develops new learning, research, and exchange activities. New profiles should only be published when the relationship with ACCESS, responsible contact, active opportunities, and maintenance arrangements are confirmed.

Avoid empty listings

Do not publish “coming soon” network pages without an approved collaboration or useful information for visitors. Until additional profiles are ready, show only validated networks and a general invitation to collaborate.

Connecting the system

Connect Networks with the Wider ACCESS System

  1. 1Knowledge
  2. 2Learning
  3. 3Application
  4. 4Exchange
  5. 5Scaling

Networks should connect academic and professional activity with ACCESS knowledge products, Learning Pathways, Courses and Trainings, implementation cases, the Community of Practice, and Regional Uptake and Scaling.
