Overview
ACCESS Brazil supports national and municipal efforts to reduce transport emissions by using digitalisation as a catalyst for low-carbon, inclusive urban mobility. The programme combines national policy support with city pilots in Rio de Janeiro and Belo Horizonte, focusing on better mobility data, public transport information, active mobility monitoring, low-emission zones and capacity building. Transport is Brazil’s largest source of energy-related emissions, accounting for 52.3% of the national total.

Demo Day completed. Four teams selected to develop minimum viable products with financial, technical and business support.
Active Mobility Monitoring — Under Way
Technical discussions with potential consultants completed for Rio de Janeiro and Belo Horizonte. Next steps include civil society participation and hiring the technical team.
